We’re delighted you’re thinking about joining one of our trips! Our trips don't include international flights, so it's a good idea to hold some seats if possible, and book your flights as soon as you receive confirmation from us. Keep in mind frequent flier miles can be quite tricky to redeem as these seats are very limited, especially at peak season (December-February) so call early and often if you’re hoping for free seats or an upgrade. If you're coming from the US we recommend contacting Going Places in San Francisco. They know all about matching up flights with ACTIVE SOUTH AMERICA and will probably find you the cheapest airfare around. We don't take a commission from Going Places which means you'll get a cheap flight if you tell them we sent you! You can call Going Places on 510 848 9000 - ask to speak to Lizelle!

Then booking is easy!

Once you submit your form, we'll get in touch with you by phone or email to let you know whether there is still space available on the trip of your choice. We'll also ask you about which options you'd like (for instance, if you're looking at the Tortuga trip, whether you'd like to do the scuba diving option in the Galapagos Islands). From there, booking is easy!

We’ll email you a confirmation with the word “BOOKING” in the subject, which will contain your unique booking reference.
Go to the “already booked?” page, and enter your booking reference to take you through to your own unique booking information page, which will guide you through everything you need before your trip begins.
Fill out an online pre-trip questionnaire.
Print out a contract and mail a signed copy to our US office with a cheque for a deposit of US$500 deposit per person. Please note your deposit is not refundable and not transferable to another departure date. We’ll invoice you for the balance 60 days prior to departure. If your trip starts within 60 days, full payment is due now.
