"A rare, possibly life-changing vacation experience. Active but not exhausting, it caused me to take up more exercise at home again. Excursions to gorgeous off-the-beaten-path sites were inspiring and unforgettable. Having never snorkled, this trip, along with an accommodating patient guide, gave me the courage to float over unkown sealife below, peaceful sleeping Galapagos sharks, and alleviated my fear of the sea. Sebastian Hansen
"Sebastian was a fantastic guide. His humor and enthusiasm really came through for us every single day. And he went above and beyond the call of duty to recover my lost camera and send it back to me. We really enjoyed spending two weeks with him."

IT'S A PERFECT STORM: FOUR HUNDRED BUCKS OFF OUR MOST POPULAR TRIPS!

Yep, we know there's a economic storm going on, but the silver lining is surprisingly good...

South America adventure - Hiking the Inca Trail 1. The USD is at a 6 year high against many currencies.

2. Slashed fuel prices means slashed airfares. eg, You can get flights to Peru from the USA for less than $500, compared to $650-$700 at the end of last year.

3. Better availability all round!

What does this mean? It's cheaper to take an adventure to South America or New Zealand than it has been for years. With the USD so strong, we have decided to offer:
$400 off our Jaguar trip (14 days, Peru, now US$2999)

$400 off our Rimu trip (14 days, New Zealand, now US$2999 + tax)

Many people are finding that there are real advantages in a recession, and cheaper travel is one of them. We don't want to give you the wrong impression. We are having a stormin' season, with lots of happy people hiking, cycling and paddling the mountains, fiords, rainforests and lagoons that are our stomping grounds.

It's a win-win situation. As long as the USD stays strong, you can book our Jaguar or Rimu trips for $400 off the sticker price. This applies to bookings on selected trips, made up until and including May 31st 2009, and the fine print is, well, there isn't any.

And yes, we understand if you don't think a vacation is a wise idea right now. We don't want anyone on our trips who doesn't want to be there! If booking a trip to South America or New Zealand doesn't make sense at the moment, that's OK. We'll still be here in two years, five, whatever. But if you do want to get away from all the bad news for a while, leave the cellphone at home, ignore your email... and find inspiration in some of the most gorgeous places in the world, well, we're ready for you :) And it's cheaper than it's been for years.
